Boudoir Photography

Boudoir doesn’t have to mean one particular look. Your shoot can be soft and natural, dark and sultry, alternative, playful or considerably more daring.
Most of the people I photograph aren’t models and many have never done anything like this before. You don’t need to know how to pose or arrive feeling completely confident - I’ll guide you through the shoot and help create images that still feel like you.
Boudoir photography that feels like you
There’s no set formula for a Laid Bare Productions shoot.
We can build the session around the style you’re drawn to, from simple lingerie and natural light through to darker lighting, tattoos, leather, alternative styling or something more intimate.
Bring ideas, reference images or absolutely no idea at all. We’ll work out what suits you and create a shoot that feels personal rather than copying somebody else’s.

Your boudoir shoot
You’ll be guided throughout the session, including posing, positioning and expressions, so you’re never left wondering what to do. If you fancy experimenting before booking, my guide to posing for boudoir photographs at home includes eight simple solo and couples poses.
Shoots can take place in studios, hotels, private locations or other suitable spaces depending on the look you want to create.
Privacy is also completely your choice. Your images won’t automatically appear on my website or social media, and you can keep your whole shoot private if you prefer.
Want to know what the experience is genuinely like? Here’s what actually happens during a boudoir photoshoot, from arriving and getting ready to posing, breaks and privacy.

Boudoir photography questions
Do I need any modelling experience?
Not at all. Most of my clients have never done a professional boudoir shoot before. I’ll guide you throughout with posing and direction so you don’t need to arrive knowing what to do.
Where do boudoir shoots take place?
Depending on the style of shoot, we can use a photography studio, hotel, private home or another suitable location. I shoot across Hertfordshire, London and elsewhere in the UK.
What should I wear for a boudoir shoot?
Anything that makes you feel good. That might be lingerie, an oversized shirt, bodysuit, stockings, leather, something alternative or very little at all. We can discuss outfits and styling before the shoot so you know what will photograph well.
Will my boudoir photos remain private?
Yes, your photos are not automatically shared publicly. Any portfolio or social media use is discussed separately, and you can choose to keep your entire shoot private.
